Geometric Mirror DIY

Today, I want to show you a mirror I beautified myself.  I have had a love for all of the geometrical mirrors that I have seen around lately like these:

But, I just don't have the kind of money to buy one like this from Horchow:
$450.00, are you crazy.  I need to buy at least two much needed chairs with that kind of money.

I'm always looking for a "Look 4 Less" type of thing like this from Home Decorators.

But, I still can't seem to afford it either, lol.

So, this is what I came up with...

I turned this boring mirror:

Into this:

My house is very dark so here's another after pic:
(wow, it's so hard to take a pic of a mirror)

I found my inspiration in this pic from Anthropologie:

Can you see how they are on the same idea?  I just changed the circles to squares.  But, the Anthropologie mirror costs $648.00 (oooch)  and mine cost about $12.99 for the mirror from Target and maybe $10.00 in supplies.  Not to bad for less than $25.00 I must say so myself!

Here's one last look, side by side, of a completed mirror and an incomplete mirror...

Tomorrow, I'll show you how I did it.

Update to a Previous Post

I did a post called, Some of the reason's why we bought this house, back in January.  It was about the bridge in our backyard, and the indoor pool we have.  I want to show you some of the changes that we have made to the pool room and some of the beautiful pictures of how the bridge has looked over the last few weeks.

This is how the pool looked when we moved in:

And now this is how the pool room looks:

Here are some backyard bridge pictures:

The next pictures were taken from the bridge, looking at the creek below.  I love them.  I can't wait to take pictures throughout every season!

Main Floor Bathroom Update

I've done a little work in my main floor bathroom to try to bring in some life and colour.  I still need to do something with the horrible countertop and possibly paint the cupboards.

Here is a before pic:

And here is an after:

And here are a couple more before and afters:

As you can see, the ugly bar light is gone, the cheap ugly wooden towel racks are gone, and I have added a shower curtain in front of the shower stall to hide the ugly age of it.

Secretary Desk Redo

Well, I think that I am pretty much finished my secretary desk that I bought from the estate sale way back in November.  The quality of these pics are not the best but it's all I have for now.

Here are some before pics:

And here is the reveal:

I still need to spray paint the pull silver and do a couple of touch ups but, besides that it's as good as it's going to get.

For the tutorial on this desk, please see this post
